Very cute crayon rolls by Skip to my lou

i really love the ric rac used for the wavy border. I used to think that ric rac was so dated (I'm sure my mom laughs when she reads that) but I love the wavy edges.

My momma sent me a letter.

Inside were very cool things!

A plush cupcake kit, a valentine's card, and a news article about how new national law forcing toy makers to test for lead are effecting small businesses and libraries like a SF lady who makes capes for kids. I really love getting articles! I used to read the paper every morning, but not so much any more.

Don't you just LOVE this card?? the colors are awesome, on the "recycled" brown paper and goes with my new trend of eggplant purple.

where the wooden skewers go

I went walking around with my pal Bonnie on Jingling(sp?) to look at instruments.... and saw this on the way back. Next to it is a stand selling the "yang ro tran" meat on a stick. And this is where all the sticks go. higher and higher!

Gutter spy

We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars. Oscar Wilde

My neighborhood back in Oakland has a lot of cats. My neighbor has a lots of cats too.(6 that come to feed, at least) Coincidence? I think not. I used to take care of them, pet the kittens, and feed them when my neighbors went on vacation. and one time I saw a cat in the gutter, hiding and waiting for its next unsuspecting prey to approach. Then I thought- hmm. Maybe I shouldn't touch any more cats.

There's a bunch of cats here in SH too. They are pretty skittish and sometimes even try to run up the tree when I walk by. They are kinda like the racoons are back home. They go through the trash that is put out every evening. And they fight and stuff, but at least they dont' elave dead birds on the lawn, like in cali.
